Designtex Features Sustainability at the Table at NeoCon
From our new array of durable wools made with recycled and renewable content, to circular textiles and the just-in-time digital print capabilities of our Portland, Maine factory, we are constantly, consistently and passionately considering a product’s lifecycle. Sustainability has long informed all that we do, from product design to manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.
This year our showroom has been designed for disassembly and reuse. The tables are fabricated using paper tubes (the same tubes we use for bolts of our fabric) and corrugated cardboard, all reusable and recyclable.
Also on display was Designtex Digital Studio– an online tool that makes it easier to play with custom design. Use the online tool to experiment with color and scale across our collection of patterns and create new designs for textiles and wallcoverings in minutes. Samples and orders are printed with care at our factory in Portland, Maine.
