Designtex to be
PFAS-free Company on October 1, 2024

Designtex has long been a champion of eliminating red-listed chemistries, having worked diligently to remove flame retardant and antimicrobial additives from its product offering. To continue this long-standing commitment to human health, Designtex will become a PFAS-free company on October 1, 2024. We are taking this step, one that goes beyond State-specific bans and labeling requirements, to guarantee all specification and purchases of our products remain free of PFAS.

Please note the following upcoming actions we are taking:

Orders:

No shipments of material containing PFAS will go out after October 1, 2024. If you have PFAS inventory on hold with us, please reach out to your Sales Representative or Sales Coordinator.

Website and Sampling:

Immediately following October 1, all relevant finishes on our website (in filters, product detail pages, and spec sheets) will be updated to indicate they are PFAS-free. Please note that stain repellent/resistant finishes listed on sample tickets will be updated as part of our standard remake process. For example, samples that read “Finish: stain repellent” will be updated to clarify that the finish is now PFAS-free. As always, our website reflects our current state.
