Designtex at Design Days 2026 — With Feeling
Designtex returned to Chicago this June for another inspiring week at Design Days, welcoming visitors to our Fulton Market showroom with strong engagement and client turnout throughout the event. We’re also proud to share continued industry recognition, including honors from Interior Design’s HiP Awards, where Amble was named a winner in Health + Wellness: Fabric + Wallcovering and Puffer was recognized as an honoree in Hospitality: Fabric + Textiles. In addition, Puffer received a 2026 MetropolisLikes Award, further underscoring its impact across workplace and hospitality applications.
Located on the 5th floor at 811 W. Fulton Street, the showroom served as a light-filled backdrop for discovery—bringing together textiles, wallcoverings, and architectural finishes in an open, gallery-like environment designed to invite interaction. This year’s presentation, “With Feeling,” explored how materials shape the experience of space, encouraging visitors to engage with products through texture, color, and sensory impact.
Throughout the showroom, curated zones—including Slow Color, Atmosphere, Dimension, and Biobased—offered distinct perspectives on materiality, construction, and sustainability. From expressive wallcovering installations to integrated applications of 3M™ DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes, materials were presented in context, reinforcing Designtex’s commitment to performance-driven design and immersive, tactile experiences.

Created by Alisa Benfey, the Slow Color collection of print-on-demand wallcoverings and upholstery is derived from Kusaki-zome, or the Japanese art of seasonal botanical dyeing. Coming Fall 2026.
