Designtex is a PFAS-free Company

Designtex has long worked to eliminate red-listed chemistries from our product offering. We have designed out flame retardants and antimicrobial additives from our upholstery products and have reduced the use of DMF and solvents from our coated and printed products. To continue this long-standing commitment to human health, Designtex became a PFAS-free company on October 1, 2024. No stain resistance derived from PFAS chemistry is allowed on our products, PFAS treated goods are no longer in our inventory, nor do we support the post-treatment of our fabrics with PFAS-based finishes.

Designtex offers a wide range of products without a finish, and we also offer PFAS-free finishes that provide stain resistance without the use of per PFAS chemistry.  In addition, we provide extensive cleaning and maintenance instructions, including disinfectant compatibility, to maintain fabrics over the life of the product.
