  • E-Series Recycled Content

    The E-Series Recycled Content products offer clients more options as they pursue their sustainability goals. This series has a base film layer made with 80% post-consumer recycled polyester and a colored layer made with 20% scallop shell powder. The color palette draws from earth tones, bringing terracotta, sage, desert sand and other natural hues into interior spaces.

    Select products now have a poly coated paper release liner with 40% recycled pulp. The liner is printed with ink containing 10% biomass derived material.

FAQs

DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes are 8 mil, multi-layer, adhesive-backed vinyl finishes that can be used as a decorative surface finish to replicate the look of wood grain, natural stone, metal, and hundreds of other designs.

Most DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes can be used on casework, doors, columns, walls, elevators, ceilings, and many more applications.

DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes bond to most non-porous, smooth surfaces such as metal, wood, interior glass, and high-pressure laminates. Most patterns can be formed around three-dimensional surfaces when using heat.

Gouges or other damage through the film surface can easily be repaired by cutting out the damaged film and replacing that piece with the same pattern of film, or by removing and replacing an entire panel of film.

DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes consist of an all over pattern and do not have a repeat.

We do not recommend installing DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes over vinyl just as we do not recommend installing vinyl wallcoverings over existing vinyl wallcoverings. Installing a vinyl product over other vinyl wallcoverings increases flammability and toxicity in the event of a fire.  For this reason, we discourage such use and do not provide any warranty regarding such use. It would be ideal to remove the initial wallcovering and then prep the wall for DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes installation.

No, we do not recommend perforating DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes.

The PS products contain antimicrobials. All other DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes that Designtex distributes do not contain antimicrobials.

DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes for interiors have an Expected Performance Life of 12 years for indoor vertical applications. See the DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes Technical Datasheet for warranty information.

Some patterns are not recommended for applications like a large cylindrical column. The MT series are more rigid than the standard skus and won’t work as well on a severe curve. For most uses, all of the patterns will work well and can handle most curved and flat surfaces.

A Preferred installer is someone who has been qualified by the 3M Preferred DI-NOC™ Installer Program. The program is designed to give installers the tools and techniques needed to confidently apply DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes in an interior design setting. By offering comprehensive training and rigorous testing, 3M recognizes and rewards installers’ investment to become skilled DI-NOC™ applicators.

Most DI-NOC™ products used for interior applications have a 10-year warranty. The Abrasion Resistant (AR), Metallic (VM), Advanced Metallic (AM) and High Gloss (HG) styles have a 5-year warranty. The Projection Whiteboard (PWF) and Whiteboard (WH) styles have a 3-year warranty. DI-NOC™ products are only warrantied for manufacture defects, not improper installation.

Quick Ship products purchased in full rolls are returnable/refundable. All other products are non-returnable, non-refundable.
